JANUARY 2026

GENERAL MEETING: Wednesday, January 28, 10:15 AM

General Meeting and then program: 

Tree and Shrub Care.  Learn how to keep your trees and shrubs healthy and happy – from giving them a good start with proper planting techniques to dealing with diseases and other problems that may develop later.  Presented by Eric Adam, an Arborist Representative with Bartlett Tree Experts, and a landscape architect with 15 years of experience in landscape design.


FEBRUARY 2026

GENERAL MEETING: Wednesday, February 25, 10:15 AM

General Meeting and then program: 

Plant it and They Will Come.  Butterflies and their caterpillars, like humans, have particular preferences for the food they will eat.  If you plant what a critter likes, it will be delighted to find its favorite food in your garden. This beautiful presentation is a guide to attracting butterflies to your garden and keeping them there.  Presented by Cindy Hedin, a Master Gardener of Somerset County.


MARCH 2026

General Meeting and then program: 

Hippity Hoppity Easter’s on its Way.  Club member Patti Cerrato will show us how to make 3 floral arrangements:  first, a bunny, using white carnations; second, a design inside a metal lantern; and third, a beautiful spring windowpane. Have fun learning about floral design and the 3 arrangements will be raffled off.


APRIL 2026

GENERAL MEETING: Wednesday, April 22, 10:15 AM

General Meeting and then program: 

The Real Housewives of New Jersey:  Early American Women and Their Kitchen Gardens. Kitchen gardens in the 1700’s fed, healed, and clothed Early American families.  The 18th century “huswife” skill set included “physicke, cookery, distillation, perfumery, the making of wool, hemp, flax, dayries, brewing, baking”, and, of course, gardening.  Growing plants both native American and from their homelands, these women turned their soup pots into the “melting pot”  that is America and exemplified the best qualities of plantswomen and patriots.  Presented by Lesley Parness, garden historian, writer, and retired Superintendent of Horticultural Education at the Morris County Park Commission.


MAY 2026

GENERAL MEETING: Wednesday, May 27, 10:15 AM

General Meeting and then program: 

The Tick Talk. Learn about tickborne disease risks, tick bite prevention, tick identification, and how to participate in the NJ Ticks 4 Science citizen science project which can ID your tick and test it for diseases for free.  This program from the Rutgers Center for Vector Biology will be presented by Jessica Shick of the Master Gardeners of Somerset County.


JUNE 2026

June Luncheon.  Date: Thursday, June 11, 2026
